Who You Are

The Special Events Manager is responsible for providing leadership and professional expertise in the planning and implementation of high-quality strategic events and functions across the school. Sitting within the Office of Institutional Advancement, this position is responsible for ensuring that campus-wide priorities and standards are reflected in the planning and presentation of small and large events (200+ guests) supporting stewardship activities to strengthen long-term relationships with donors, parents, and alumni. This position requires a hands-on, proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

About You

The ideal candidate for the Special Events Manager at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following:

  • Proven experience working with vendors, venues, lecturers, and caterers; negotiating contracts; and managing event budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex schedules and logistics both internally and externally while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to create and execute a sophisticated event from start to finish.
  • Proven experience collaborating with and serving as a hands-on partner to colleagues across an organization.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and growth mindset.
  • Proven ability to perform well in fast-paced settings and meet deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, event software, and CRM systems preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
