 Overview

AIM Academy is excited to announce the opening of a Middle School Math teaching position for the fall of 2024.  AIM’s Middle School is an innovative and collaborative environment where teachers have smaller than usual caseloads so they can focus on the individual needs of students. Becoming an independent learner is the key objective of the Middle School. Students are given the tools necessary to help them organize and manage their workload with the scaffolding of teacher and peer models.  An interdisciplinary curriculum challenges critical thinking skills, and students learn how to identify connections between ideas and how one area of study can inform or influence another. Middle School classrooms are small by design to allow for differentiation of instruction alongside collaborative project-based learning.

 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required/Preferably Master’s
• Experience working with students with language based learning differences
• PA or Private Academic Certification
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to positively and productively relate to students
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Adaptive learner and self-starter
• Strong technology skills
• Sense of Humor, Patience and Flexibility
• COVID Vaccination and booster, but will follow any legally required exemptions.
