Linden Hall is currently looking for a Director of Enrollment Management.  This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, action-oriented enrollment strategies and tactics to reach the enrollment goals of the school.  The Director oversees all aspects of recruitment, selection, enrollment, and retention.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures qualified students who successfully meet the schools’ criteria are enrolled and retained by developing and implementing long-term enrollment and retention strategies.
  • Directs the development of written materials and other media that support admission goals and promotes the school.
  • Utilizes predictive analytics to provide enrollment forecasting and enrollment management planning. Provides market insight to drive strategic decisions by monitoring local, national, and international enrollment trends.
  • Oversees parent school visits, tours and other admissions activities and events for both recruiting and retention.
  • Presents information about the school in a compelling way during in-person and virtual admission events.
  • Leads retention committee made up of faculty and staff members charged with improving the retention of current students.
  • Coordinates the staffing of employees, students, and volunteers to meet admissions activities.
  • Prepares the admissions budget and operates the department with budgetary guidelines, including the budgeting and expenditures for marketing materials and advertisements with Business Office and Communications Coordinator
  • Maintains admissions and enrollment statistics and provides status and achievement reports to board members as directed.
  • Oversees financial aid process, communication, appeals, reports, implementation and follow up.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with educational consultants, feeder schools, community-based organizations, and peer schools.
  • Serves as school’s representative on the Boarding School Consortium, a group of enrollment professionals from 11 Mid-Atlantic boarding schools.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years working in Admissions for an independent school, college or university
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and experience presenting to small and large groups.
  • Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail including data management.
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud, Ravenna, the Standard Application Online, SSS, or other admission/financial aid products preferred.
