DESCRIPTION:
The Church Farm School seeks a Director of Enrollment Management to oversee and advance the CFS Admissions strategy and implementation. This is a prominent, full-time administrative position, serving on the school’s leadership team and reporting to the Head of School, while working closely with other colleagues to oversee student recruitment, enrollment, retention and overall student experience and success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enrollment Management and Admissions Leadership
- Develop an enrollment strategy in alignment with CFS strategic plan; evaluate and redesign the enrollment and marketing process to ensure capacity enrollment and waitlists of qualified applicants.
- Oversee the Admissions team and office, ensuring efficient processing of inquiries and applications.
- Communicate regularly and promptly with candidates and families to guide them through the enrollment process.
- Conduct interviews with prospective students and parents; coordinate admission testing and secure necessary credentials (e.g., visa paperwork for international students).
- Manage re-enrollment of current students and monitor attrition rates.
- Maintain and report enrollment and re-enrollment statistics to the Head of School and Board of Directors.
- Coordinate enrollment volunteers, including students, parents, alumni and former parents.
Admissions Marketing and Communications
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to promote the school to new and existing audiences.
- Develop and manage the enrollment marketing budget, materials, mailings and publications.
- Represent the school effectively to local, national and international audiences in alignment with enrollment strategy.
Relationship Building and Community Outreach
- Maintain and cultivate relationships with feeder schools and relevant organizations to attract targeted applicants.
- In partnership with Associate Head of School, develop a middle school-age, boarding school preparatory program to develop a pipeline of students well-positioned for success in a residential high school environment.
- Travel extensively to represent the school at fairs, conferences and other relevant events locally, regionally and internationally.
Financial Aid
- Lead and administer the school’s Financial Aid program in collaboration with the Head of School ensuring program is managed in a fiscally responsible manner.
Committee and Team Participation
- Lead the admissions selection process.
- Facilitate and lead the Student Development and Marketing Committee.
- Actively participate on the Administrative Team and take on duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of admissions/ enrollment management leadership experience
- 3+ years of admissions/enrollment management in a residential school
- Experience managing a budget based on institutional goals and a need-based financial aid program
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours in the admissions cycle and to meet administrative needs in a residential, college preparatory school setting
- Experience with digital marketing and online recruiting methodologies
- Experience with Blackbaud, Finalsite or similar software and database management
