Laboratory Animal and Education Coordinator:

Full-Time Veterinary Technology Faculty

Manor College invites qualified credentialed veterinary technicians to apply for the Full-Time Veterinary Technology Faculty Position.  Manor College’s Program of Veterinary Technology is a face-to-face program accredited by the CVTEA-AVMA.  

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Program Director of Veterinary Technology and is responsible for teaching veterinary technology courses, overseeing animal care, advising students, and participating in program management duties. The position would start in August 2025.

Essential Functions:

  • Teach a specific number of courses, including but not limited to laboratory courses working with live animals (laboratory animals and small animal species).  Possible courses include:  
    • Anatomy and Physiology
    • Animal Handling and Husbandry
    • Clinical Pathology for Veterinary Technicians
    • Laboratory Animal Management
    • Radiology
    • Small Animal Emergency and Clinical Procedures
  • Serve as an academic advisor to veterinary technology students
  • Oversee all aspects of the program's use of laboratory animals
  • Actively engage with other Vet Tech faculty and staff to assist in the smooth running of the VT program.  

Qualifications: 

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with laboratory and small animal species
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with, advising, and training students.
