Afterschool Program Coordinator

Sacred Heart Academy “SHA” Bryn Mawr (PA) is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls founded in 1865 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and lay-owned and governed since 1969. Serving approximately 200 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, the School is seeking a self-directed, experienced, and energetic Afterschool Program Coordinator in anticipation of the 25-26 school year. This is a part-time position.

The Afterschool Program is for Sacred Heart Academy students in Kindergarten through Grade 4. It includes recreational activities and scheduled homework periods. The SHA Afterschool Program is held Monday through Friday from 3:45-5:30 p.m. The Afterschool Program Coordinator will supervise students and help with homework, provide snack time, and monitor outside and inside play activities. Enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and impeccable organizational skills are key.

Responsibilities  

• Supervise a group of lower school students from 3:45-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Assist with homework as needed
• Provide snack time
• Create and supervise outside and inside play activities
• Provide First-Aid if needed
• Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians at pick-up
