Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage student tuition accounts in FACTS, including follow up on accounts in arrears
- Record and manage reconciliations of tuition payments and donations
- Provide excellent customer service to our families
- Enter invoices in QuickBooks Online and pay bills weekly
- Collect Amex receipts and reconcile statement
- Bank deposits (infrequent)
- Ensure accuracy in all financial transactions
- Prepare monthly budget reports for faculty and administration
- Assist in payroll processing
- Utilize various online systems
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeper experience
- Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Online required
- Ability to learn multiple online platforms - FACTS, Active, Square, Stripe, & more!
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with independent schools and/or non-profit organizations preferred
