Full-time Theology teacher needed for second semester (starting January 2026). Major responsibilities include:
Instructional Responsibilities: Teach foundational theological concepts that help students gain a general knowledge and appreciation of Sacred Scripture, with a focus on encountering Jesus Christ as the heart of God’s Revelation.
Curriculum Planning: Develop and maintain up-to-date, well-structured lesson plans with clearly defined sequential objectives based on the approved curriculum. Submit plans in accordance with school policies and incorporate current best practices in science education.
Collaborative Engagement: Work collaboratively with theology department colleagues to support curriculum development, interdisciplinary learning, and department goals.
Classroom Environment: Create a positive, orderly, and student-centered classroom environment that reflects the values of Catholic education and supports the mission of Nazareth Academy High School.
Student Supervision and Discipline: Maintain effective student management and ensure the safety, attentiveness, and well-being of students in the classroom and during school-related activities.
Assessment and Reporting: Accurately record and report student attendance, academic progress, and performance in accordance with school procedures. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and provide timely communication regarding student development.
Co-Curricular Involvement: Support student growth by voluntarily participating in and supervising school-approved co-curricular activities, events, and functions.
Professional Growth: Demonstrate a commitment to professional development by actively pursuing opportunities for continued learning and growth in theology education and pedagogy.
