We are seeking a Manager of Villa Funds, who will work closely with the Director of Advancement and the advancement team; dedicated to the ongoing growth and execution of a comprehensive Villa Fund and EITC/OSTC program in support of Villa Maria’s mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The Manager of Villa Funds sets strategy for the Villa Fund including identification, recruitment, training, and cultivation of leadership committee members and key volunteers.
  • Responsible for the conceptualization, planning, executing, and evaluating a comprehensive and aggressive advancement program to generate annual gifts from all constituencies (i.e., parents, grandparents, alumnae, past parents, and friends) ensuring that Villa Maria’s advancement efforts are directed at increasing donor support, both monetarily and in participation.
  • Creates and executes, in partnership with the Advancement team, a robust, well-coordinated philanthropic communications strategy and events schedule.
  • Liaises with the Director of Communications and Marketing to ensure the Villa Fund and all philanthropic communications and events are well coordinated with the broader schoolwide and marketing efforts and that everything remains on-brand.
  • Determines appropriate personalized solicitation strategies for prospective donors, manages the direct mail program, emails, as well as social media programs aligned to the overall advancement narrative.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with established and potential donors to the Villa Fund and through the EITC/OSTC program.
  • Manage the assigned prospects and volunteers’ relationships by anticipating needs, creating templates and solicitation content for campaign volunteers, and carrying out appropriate follow-up.
  • Writes copy for Villa Fund updates, social media texts, alumnae spotlight stories, and donation templates.
  • Develops landing/giving pages on the GiveSmart platform for large campaigns throughout the year. Research best practices and platforms for annual appeal campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Director of Advancement to coordinate cultivation strategies, stewardship, and solicitation plans (i.e., capital campaigns, major gifts, EITC/OSTC gifts) for all lead and major gift prospects/donors).
  • Builds and enhances all aspects of philanthropic support by working collaboratively with all advancement team members.
  • Keeps the advancement team and Villa Fund Committee informed with accurate and timely information regarding the Villa Fund and other activities and progress against established goals.
  • Assists in the development of the comprehensive Advancement Plan and ensures that identified goals and strategies are effectively and efficiently accomplished.
  • Plan and execute the writing for the biannual publication of Views of Villa.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must have deep knowledge and understanding of CRMs, specifically Raiser’s Edge NXT. This person must be skilled in donor prospect research. Additionally, the Manager must have a working knowledge of our donors and exceptionally written and orally communication skills.

Required education and experience:

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or related field is required.
