Media-Providence Friends School (MPFS) seeks an entrepreneurial, highly organized, and collaborative Director of Auxiliary Programs. This is a hands-on role responsible for the planning, promotion, budgeting, and overall management of all auxiliary programming at the School. The successful candidate will bring energy and ambition to develop and manage MPFS Auxiliary Programs to the highest degree of excellence , ensuring all programs align with and support the School's Friends mission.

Key Responsibilities

I. Program Development & Management

  • Strategic Planning: Responsible for the planning, program design, monitoring, and evaluation of all auxiliary programs.
  • Mission Alignment: Collaborate with school leadership and employees to ensure all auxiliary programs align with and support the mission of MPFS.
  • Partnerships: Seek to identify partnerships that may enhance the auxiliary programs.
  • Oversight: Provide comprehensive oversight and management of all auxiliary programs, including Summer Friends Camp, the Afternoon Program, and any winter or spring break camps. This role also includes coordinating enrichment programs and managing all facility rental activities to ensure smooth operations and alignment with school policies.

 

  • Policies: Establish and enforce policies for all auxiliary programs.
  • Safety & Environment: Provide an appropriately safe, caring, and enriching environment for all auxiliary program participants.

II. Marketing, Communications, & Materials

  • Social Media & Ads: Work with the Director of Marketing & Communications to create a schedule of social media posts and run social media advertisements for all camps, particularly Summer Camp (running February–June).
  • Email Communication: In collaboration with Dir. of Marketing & Comm., write and send eBlasts to the community, including save-the-date notices, registration opening announcements, and reminders for all camps.
  • Internal Promotion: Submit monthly promo requests for The Window (monthly schoolwide newsletter) for both camp registration and hiring camp counselors.
  • Website & Print Materials: Review and make necessary text updates to the Camp landing page (mpfs.org/camp) using Composer, and update the Camp Brochure, flyers & other content in Google Docs and/or Canva.
  • Materials: In collaboration with Dir. of Marketing & Comm, manage the design updates for camp shirts and oversee the ordering process.
  • Photo Management: Along with camp staff, take photos and manage the camp photo library in Google Photos.

III. Staffing, Hiring, & Training

  • Recruitment & Training: Recruit, hire, and train all auxiliary program employees.
  • Staff Support: Ensure all auxiliary program staff have appropriate training, professional development, and support.
  • Hiring Management: Manage and update the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) and Counselor applications within the Forms module (Finalsite).
  • Optional: Manage and update the Summer Camp Counselor directory blog (Posts module in Finalsite), if continued.

 

IV. Registration & Administration

  • Registration Oversight: Oversee and manage registration for all auxiliary programs.
  • Campsite Management: Complete rollover and update registration for Summer Camp in Campsite.
  • Parent Communication: Manage the Parent Dashboard in Campsite, including text updates for announcements, reminders, and important registration information.
  • Break Camps: Update registration forms in the Forms Module (Finalsite) for winter and/or spring break camp.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School and DBCO.
