George School, an all-gender Quaker boarding/day high school located in Newtown, PA, seeks an Office Manager beginning July 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations, organization, and workflow of the College Counseling Office.
Develop, maintain, and refine data management systems to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
Manage calendars, appointments, deadlines, and office schedules.
Maintain digital records and files with careful attention to accuracy, accessibility, and confidentiality.
Perform data entry, tracking, and reporting within college counseling platforms, including SCOIR.
Use Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools confidently and effectively.
Assist with transcript processing, teacher recommendation coordination, and application-related documentation.
Support the preparation of school profiles, information packets, and materials for colleges and universities.
Serve as a friendly and professional first point of contact for students, families, faculty, and college representatives.
Draft, edit, and distribute communications on behalf of the College Counseling team.
Assist with managing communications such as email updates, event reminders, and website content.
Coordinate logistics for college visits, student workshops, information sessions, and major office events.
Requirements
Experience in a school or nonprofit setting preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage systems, processes, and detailed workflows.
Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), databases, and digital tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Approachable, professional interpersonal style with a commitment to supporting students and families.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced school environment.
Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential student information.
Familiarity with college counseling platforms such as SCOIR or Naviance is helpful.
Experience with event coordination or project management as part of a team.
