Professional in Residence - Web Design & Digital Media

Status: Part-Time, 2026-2027 Academic Year

Description of Opportunity:
The Professional in Residence will primarily teach courses in web design and digital media, which may include:

  • Web Design
  • Advanced Digital Design

  • Digital Storytelling and Content Creation

  • Social Media Strategy
  • Multimedia Journalism / Media Production

  • Digital Images with Photoshop

Versatility in supporting related areas such as Artificial intelligence, branding, UX/UI, video production, or marketing is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, project-based lessons in web design and digital media
  • Teach industry-relevant skills (HTML/CSS, design principles, content creation, digital storytelling, etc.)
  • Provide real-world context through authentic projects and client-based or school-based work
  • Contribute ideas to enhance and evolve the existing curriculum
  • Mentor students in creative process, collaboration, and portfolio development
  • Participate in departmental collaboration and professional development when available

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (Digital Media, Web Design, Communications, etc.)
  • Professional experience in web design, digital media, or related industry
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage and inspire high school students
  • Willingness to adapt to a teaching environment and embrace a growth mindset
  • Availability to teach on a consistent part-time schedule at least 2 days per week.

This role helps students connect classroom learning to real-world applications, building creative confidence and technical skills while supporting La Salle’s mission of innovation, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

 

These part-time, adjunct positions are dependent on annual funding and current course needs.

Compensation for these Part-Time Adjunct Positions is determined in a consistent manner, based on the number of sections taught.
