Pendle Hill is a Quaker study, retreat, and conference center on 24 acres in Delaware County (near Media/Swarthmore/Chester). Cooks share responsibility for planning and cooking three meals a day for buffet-style service to staff, adult participants in our education programs, and conference attendees, serving an average of 40 but occasionally up to 100 guests per meal. Meals are prepared from scratch under the supervision of the Dining Services Manager using ingredients often sourced from our on-site garden as well as local suppliers. All cooking staff plan and work as a team with shared responsibilities. The position is 22 hours per week and eligible for paid sick/vacation/holiday leave. Shift hours could range from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm.
