AIM Academy is proud to announce the opening of an additional Middle School English Language Arts teaching position for the fall of 2022. AIM Academy is searching for a professional educator to join our collaborative team. Here at AIM, an interdisciplinary curriculum challenges students to think critically, and students learn to identify connections between ideas and how one area of study can inform or influence another.

 Middle School classrooms are small by design to allow for differentiation of instruction alongside collaborative project-based learning.  The ELA courses are designed around age-appropriate novels, short stories, plays, and poems.  These resources assist students in developing and enriching their higher-level comprehension skills. By combining technology with a multitude of reading strategies and questioning techniques, teachers are able to aid students in deepening their understanding of the core genre readings. In addition to reading and reading comprehension, writing is integrated into all aspects of the curriculum with explicit instruction during the ELA 90-minute block. Utilizing current research-based practices, students become fully immersed in the writing process.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required / Master’s preferred
  • PA or Private Academic Certification
  • Excellence in writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Ability to positively and constructively relate to students
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptive learner and self-starter
  • Strong technology skills
  • Sense of Humor, Patience and Flexibility
  • COVID Vaccination and booster, but will follow any legally required exemptions.
